BoardLab is a 3D interactive web application that allows surfers to create custom surfboard fins based on performance characteristics. Each surfer’s fins are precision fabricated using CNC robots and then mailed to their door, ready to snap into most surfboards’ fin boxes. BoardLab’s mission is to end the confusion in selecting the best fins for you and empower every surfer on the planet to shape their own ride.

BoardLab started as a passion project born from a love of surfing and fascination with digital fabrication tools. It soon developed into a surf tech company that fosters a breeding ground of wave-riding experimentation and surfer stoke. By combining web-based 3D modeling with CNC milling machines, I was able to create a mass customization business that caters to surfers of any style.
